What does the Juvenile Office do?
The Juvenile Office serves youth and families in two broad areas: matters involving young people alleged to have committed offenses, and matters involving the abuse or neglect of children. Our work ranges from intake and diversion to probation, detention, case management, and treatment programs.
How do I report suspected child abuse or neglect?
Call the Missouri Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline at 1-800-392-3738, available 24 hours a day. In an emergency, call 911.
My child received a court summons. What should I do?
Read the summons carefully — it will tell you when and where to appear. Bring the summons with you, and contact the Juvenile Office in advance if you have questions about the process or need assistance.
Are juvenile records confidential?
Juvenile records are subject to strict confidentiality protections under Missouri law. The Juvenile Office does not share confidential case information on this website or by email.
How do I reach my Deputy Juvenile Officer?
If you are working with a specific Deputy Juvenile Officer, call the main office and ask to be connected. You can also reach us through the contact page.
